Program in Focus
1967 marked the commencement of international guests and visitors of note attending the festival. Josef von Sternberg was in attendence and introduced his last film The Saga of Anatahan for the first time to an Australian audience. Major works programmed were Au hasard, Balthazar (Robert Bresson), Barrier (Jerzy Skolimowski), The Round-Up (Miklós Jancsó), Love 65 (Bo Wilderberg), The Man Who Had His Hair Cut Short (André Delvaux).

Jörn Donner and Josef von Sternberg. Donner and Sternberg were guests of the festival and retrospectives of both filmmakers' work was screened.
