Oi
When a brash, boisterous queen-of-the-schoolyard undergoes a traumatic experience, she must confront her own behaviour and unexpressed desires.
Written by its lead actor Laneikka Denne, Oi looks at the hyper-sexualised hothouse of the modern teenage experience, watching as its chaotic, turbulent central character uses violence, persuasion, sexual provocation and indelible bravado to rule the school. Etched with a critical, queer perspective, and carrying echoes of Puberty Blues, it presents a provocative new study of Australian female adolescence.
