Box Office Hours

This Box Office is open one (1) hour before the first screening until fifteen (15) minutes after the final screening commences.

All MIFF box offices are cashless so only EFTPOS and credit card are accepted. Cash is not accepted. 

Melbourne’s premiere metropolitan cinema, located at Collins Place in the city’s CBD.

Box Office

The MIFF Box Office is located in the foyer of Kino. There is step-free/wheelchair access from all entrances via the internal lift or via a ramp in the food court. 

Food and Beverage 

There is a bar serving refreshments as well as snacks and popcorn at the entrance to the Kino cinemas. All cinemas are licensed.

Accessibility

Entry to Kino Cinema is from street level is via multiple entrances. Please see below for step-free/wheelchair accessible routes (if available) from each entrance.

  • From the Flinders Lane entrance, there is step-free ramp access from the street, then take the internal ramp to the lower ground level. Head towards the Kino Cinema entrance in the centre of the food court. 
  • From the Exhibition Street entrance, there is step-free ramp access from the street. Head straight ahead and use the ramp towards the lower ground level. Head towards the Kino Cinema entrance in the centre of the food court. 
  • From the Collins Street entrance, there is a set of stairs on the left or right to the lower ground level. Head towards the Kino Cinema entrance in the centre of the food court. This entrance does not have step-free access.
  • From the Sofitel driveway entrance, there is step-free access from the street. Head towards the lift and take the lift to the ground floor then use the ramp next to the lift to access the lower ground level. There are also escalators down to the lower ground level. Turn left towards the Kino Cinema entrance.
  • From the Collins Place car park, take the lift to the lower ground level, then use the ramp down to Kino Cinema.

Entry into Kino 1 and Kino 2, is from the rear of the cinema. There is one small row of seats with step-free access from the door to the cinema, with two wheelchair accessible spaces and two companion seats. There are stairs leading towards the front of the cinema on each side. 

All seats in both Kino 1 and Kino 2 are fabric and have cupholders.

Assistive Listening: This venue will have Assistive Listening units available for collection at the MIFF Box Office for use with specific films screening at Kino Cinema this year.

Please see How to Book Your Ticket section to book an assistive listening device. You will be required to leave photo ID when borrowing a device. Please approach a MIFF Front of House staff member for assistance when you arrive at the venue. 

There are multiple bathrooms available inside Kino in close proximity to both Kino 1 and Kino 2.

There is one gender-neutral accessible bathroom within Kino Cinema. There is an accessible bathroom in Collins Place, located next to the right of the escalators.
